Easy Substitutions

Here are a few ways to change up your child’s diet if you suspect your child is affected by any of the foods on the above list:

  • Milk Substitutes: Oat, flax, hemp or coconut milk are great alternatives (*do not substitute these for baby formula).
  • Eggs Substitutes: apple sauce, smashed banana, chia seeds, flax meal.
  • Fish & Shellfish Substitutes: Organic chicken or turkey, pasture-raised beef, or other clean meats.
  • Tree Nuts & Peanut Substitutes: Raw seed butters or Tigernut butter.
  • Wheat Substitutes: Quinoa, buckwheat, oats, gluten-free pasta, coconut flour, cassava flour or other alternative flours.
  • Soy Substitutes: Coconut aminos (instead of soy sauce), firm polenta (instead of tofu), hemp milk (instead of soymilk), coconut yogurt (instead of soy yogurt). Read labels well as soy is in a lot of products.
